Business Challenge

Are you a Boston based, woman owned business?

Then please apply to join us for a 6 week business challenge for growing consumer good companies in the greater Boston area focused on growing your customer base and taking your company to the next level. This challenge is a partnership between Project Repat and Wonder Women of Boston.

Consumer good start-ups usually fail because they are not able to get the capital they need to reach enough customers before they run out of money. On the other hand, most accelerators are geared towards a pitch day, where companies raise money in order to extend their runway. We are doing things differently. The emphasis of this accelerator is not on the pitch day, but how to create and respond to a sizeable increase in consumer demand, and then how to turn a few thousand new customers into thousands more. We’re skipping the raising capital part, going straight to customers and helping you sell more of your product, giving you more ownership of your business.

This program will focus on the “scrappiness” of early stage consumer goods companies. Each session is specifically tailored for you, intended to help you increase sales. No fluff, just results.

What you get:
  • Partnership facilitation with major e-commerce, traditional retailers, and flash sales platforms (Groupon, LivingSocial, Fab, etc.)

  • Mentoring from local entrepreneurs and thought leaders tailored specifically to your team’s needs. 4 sessions leading up to retail launch, 2 sessions after. We’ll help you use e-commerce tools, google adwords, and email campaigns that are effective.

  • Your business will be featured at Wonder Women of Boston’s Action Conference in 2014 (stay tuned for more details!).Marketing and media support.

  • Outreach to local media to help boost your brand and products
